Northern Hill — registered as The Northern Hills Trek and Expedition — was established in Joshimath, in Uttarakhand’s Chamoli district. We connect visitors to the Himalaya through experienced local guides who approach every trek as a personal adventure.
We offer guided treks for all experience levels, pilgrimage journeys that combine spiritual travel with mountain scenery, and custom expeditions and camping trips for mountaineers.

Our story starts in Karchi, a small village above Joshimath on the old Curzon Trail to Kuari Pass. Growing up, the forests and meadows above the village were our playground — and later, our livelihood.
Guests who have walked with us to the Valley of Flowers talk about how much our guides knew about every flower and peak; families on Gorson Bugyal tell us they felt safe and welcomed from the first day. That is what we set out to build: treks led by people with genuine dedication to the mountains.
